Elise Del Mar Releases Nostalgic New Single “Lose Your Love”
The Upbeat Pop Single Navigates the Difficulties of a Long-Distance Relationship
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 10, 2022) - Elise Del Mar's upbeat pop single “Lose Your Love” is being released on September 16, 2022. The track tells the story of a young couple navigating the difficulties of a long-distance relationship for the first time. "Loose Your Love" is about reminiscing on a last summer together before parting ways. It’s about realizing the relationship is falling apart due to distance and wanting to go back to that last summer before things started to deteriorate with the relationship.
Elise Del Mar was inspired to write the song during college after witnessing how personal growth and distance can affect a relationship. Although Elise never had a high school sweetheart, she watched many of her friends come to college and struggle to maintain their relationships. She herself experienced this in her platonic relationships. Throughout her time in school, she grew and changed so much, as did her friends, and she noticed that her friendships from home were drifting the same way her college friend's relationships were. Elise began to long for summer nights with her high school friends. She says that "moving away from home is hard enough as it is, especially when it's to a new city where you know nobody".
